Athletic Training & Sports Medicine

Central High School’s Sports Medicine Program strives to promote excellence in healthcare for athletics. As a primary clinical site for ROP/CTE students, these student interns assist in the health and safety of our student-athletes on a daily basis.

As a Sports Medicine Program, it is our goal to impact the health, wellness and disease prevention, of all athletes. Sports and athletics have become very important in modern society, and therefore as a program, we continue to make improvements in equipment, facilities, opportunities, and performance.

Prevention and rehabilitation of injuries which occur during sports, athletics and physical activities has continued to be the focus of the Sports Medicine Program and as a result, athletes return from injury more quickly, careers last longer, and protective equipment is more effective.
